Evacuation of rubble and soil: national and local regulations
The work of evacuating rubble and earth must follow very specific procedures. The laws define stages for each type of waste. Asbestos and lead, for example, are treated separately since they are considered to be very dangerous and can be harmful to health. A specific system must be put in place. The first rule is to check with the nearest recycling center to find out if it accepts the waste you need to remove. There are several types of recycling centers and some only take care of inert rubble.
If you hire a digger or a company specializing in soil and waste disposal, you won't have to worry about the rules. The technician will automatically establish a diagnosis of the waste to be transported and reprocessed. However, certain environmental constraints will be imposed on it. Evacuation will be managed on a case-by-case basis. Sorting will promote transport conditions and follow-up will be organized to guarantee total transparency downstream.
Among the rubble found on a construction site, it is important to distinguish between inert waste such as earth, concrete blocks, tiles, bricks, slates, different types of glass and non-hazardous waste such as boards and wooden plinths and all kinds of carpentry lumber.
You can't do it all yourself. The work of evacuating rubble and earth is the business of professionals.
